Sunflower Whole Wheat Bread Mix
Â
Every time we feature this, we sell a ton. But they don’t seem to find it on their own. I ddon’t understand. I love it. It’s super crunchy with sunflower seeds and just a little sweet with honey.
My favorite breakfast? Toast the bread, fry a couple of eggs, and melt some cheddar over the top. It’s not just breakfast, If no one’s looking, I might slip in couple slices of bacon, cooked srisply. it’s an instant meal any time.
- You say people have a hard time finding this bread. Do they like it? They certainly say they do. Everyone gave it a five-star rating except one—and that person hadn’t made it yet. Read the reviews. They’re pretty incredible.
- What’s this bread like? Well, it’s whole wheat flour with some white flour mixed in, enough to make it soft and moist. It’s sweetened with honey. And then it’s absolutely loaded with sunflower seeds–I mean every bite.
- What does it taste like? All those sunflower seeds make it a very nutty bread. There is not a lot of honey, but enough that it’s just pleasantly sweet. It’s got milk in it too, so it’s a “milk and honey” bread.
- How tall is it? With the right water temperature, it’s six or seven inches tall in your bread machine.
- Why is the water temperature important? The ideal temperature for yeast is 79 degrees. We ask you to use 80 degree water, close enough.
- What if I don’t have a bread machine? It’s easy to make in your oven.
- It says “no preservatives.” How long will it last? Not for weeks like the store loaves loaded with preservatives. We recommend not more than five days. If you’re not going to use it all, slice it and put it in the freezer. Thaw it in the toaster.

This bread mix is so good, we should have named it after a small city. But we called it “Sunflower Whole Wheat Bread.” Not too snazzy. It’s a whole wheat bread, but if you don’t tell the kids, they won’t figure it out. It’s that soft and moist.Â
It looks like everyone that tried it, gave it a “5”. I would give it a five. It’s an absolutely killer bread.
Whoops, there’s one that is not five-star. But check it out. She just forgot to click the five-star button
What should you do with this bread?
Make this sandwich. Make this a grilled cheese sandwich. And since it’s snowing right now, I would put a soup with it. I highly recommend this superlative clam chowder recipe.
And I would make it a rule, never to leave home until you’ve had your morning toast. Try it with Harvest Peach Cobbler Jam. That will change your day.
Don’t pass up on this bread for french toast. It makes great wholesome french toast.
